John Allmond (16 reb, 4 ast) and Mel Wright (4 threes, 10 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk) were a two-man attack that Blue Dream couldn’t handle. Both swingmen scored a game-high 20 pts en route to Raptors’ fifth straight win, while simultaneously handing Blue Dream their fifth straight loss. A 23-5 run to start the game was all the Raptors needed to take control. Travis Stevens came through with a strong effort, scoring a team-high 18 pts, 5/7 FTs, 21 reb, 1 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk, and Deejay Bather came off the bench to score 11 pts. JV

G Starz began the second half with a 17-4 run that opened up a close game and helped them towards their second straight win. Steve Bollman led all scorers with an impressive double-double: 18 pts, 21 reb, 3 ast, 3 blk. Jerry Iloreta (1 reb, 3 ast, 3 stl) and Kevin Ladia (6 reb, 1 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk) chipped in with 11 points apiece. For Upriserz, who have unfortunately haven’t been able to secure a victory this season, a seven-minute scoreless draught resulted in their fifth consecutive losing effort. David Ortega was the only double-digit scorer for Upriserz, finishing with 10 pts and 7 reb. JV

Game 3 – Non-Division

Rebels 70 (3-2, 2-1 Blue) W2

The Rebels built upon their comeback win over Blue Dream last week to post their second straight win. Hershel Mack’s double-double led the Rebels on both ends of the floor as they handed Soldiers their second straight loss. Mack had 11 pts, 17 reb, 3 ast, 1 blk while Tony Leary led all scorers with 20 pts, 7 reb. Soldiers played tough all game, but they went cold at certain spots that enabled Rebels to maintain their lead. Ray Hinal and Jay Munsayac led Soldiers with 18 pts, 2 threes, 3 reb, 3 ast and 18 pts, 7 reb, 2 ast, respectively. JV

Game 4 – Red Division
Elite 79 (1-4, 1-3 Red) L1
Spartans 86 (5-0, 3-0 Red) W5

Spartans remain undefeated after surviving a late rally by Elite. Elite were able to trim a double-digit deficit to just three with a minute left before timely free throws iced it for Spartans. Ryan Driggers led all scorers with 25 pts, 5/6 FTs, 5 reb, 6 ast and Andy Sanderson hit five threes en route to 21 points. Tony Miller finished with a double-double – 19 pts, 10 reb, 3 ast, 2 stl, 3 blk. Travis Wilson led Elite with 24 pts, 11 reb, 2 stl, 3 blk, while Chris Townsend helped the Elite cause with 21 pts, 6 threes, 7 reb, 6 ast, 2 stl. JV

Game 5 – Non-Division

Dream Team 64 (4-1, 3-0 Red) W1

Dream Team bounced back from a tough loss to Raptors last week to post a well-earned victory over Titans. Coming off a win against Upriserz last week, Titans struggled to score as they managed five points in ten minutes going into halftime. That’s all Dream Team needed to claim their fourth win of the season. Melvin Floyd was on fire, finishing with a game-high 31 pts, 5 threes, 5 reb, 1 ast, while Brent Woodhouse chipped in 13 pts, 13 reb, 4 ast, 3 stl. Jorge Inductivo led Titans with a team-high 17 pts, 2 threes, 2 reb, 1 ast, 4 stl. B.J. Bledsoe helped out with 12 pts, 1 reb, 4 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk. JV

Game 6 – Non-Division
Norfolk 65 (2-3, 1-2 Blue) L2
Monlu 78 (3-2, 1-1 Red) W1

Cold shooting and poor offensive execution doomed Norfolk to their second straight loss. Monlu turned it up on both ends in the first half, sprinting out to a 35-19 lead they would never relinquish. Monlu’s Kaleo Kina led all scorers with 29 pts, 7 threes, 8 reb, 3 ast, 6 stl while Kevin Alig and Ryan Pauling scored 10 apiece. Jasiri Richardson led Norfolk, who have lost two in a row, with 20 pts, 3 threes, 5 reb, 1 ast, and Malcolm Wims finished with 17 pts, 9 reb, 1 stl. JV
