Spartans saw scoring from all who suited up, and they stomped all over TBA to surpass the century mark for the second consecutive week. The combination of Jason Clark and Tony Miller continues to dominate in the post and as a result TBA had no answer for them. Clark led Spartans with 24 pts, 19 reb, 3 blk, while Miller also had a double-double with 17 pts, 14 reb, 6 ast. Tyrone Tucker continued his dazzling play and led TBA with a game-high 36 pts (5 threes), 5 reb, 1 ast, 5 stl, 2 blk. But with only five players, TBA couldn’t keep pace with the AABL veterans. JV

Game 2
Monlu Forwarders 59 (1-4) L3
Wildcats 95 (3-2) W2

Wildcats have won two consecutive games and are now a game over .500, and handed Monlu their third straight loss in the process. A 20-7 run allowed Wildcats to take control early, and another 30-8 run to end the game capped the lopsided win. DJ Hinson led all scorers with 38 pts (4 threes), 7 reb, 7 ast, 6 stl and Jaycee Victoria hit 3 threes en route to 15 pts. Kevin Alig, who missed Week 4, returned to lead Monlu, finishing with a team-high 25 pts, 13 reb. JV

Game 3
Soldiers 49 (2-3) L2
Havoc 69 (5-0) W5

Havoc continues to discover themselves as a team, and they took out Soldiers en route to a fifth consecutive victory. A 21-8 run to begin the game allowed Havoc to take control and hand Soldiers their second straight loss. Havoc boasted strong balance from their entire roster, the biggest contributions coming from Roland Tilar (team-high 16 pts, 4 threes) and Brent Woodhouse (12 pts, 10 reb, 2 ast, 5 stl). Soldiers had trouble offensively as they were only able to produce one double-digit scorer. That player was James Frazier, who led all scorers with 22 pts (4 threes), 2 reb, 1 ast. JV

Game 4
Pinoy Thunder 34 (2-3) L1
Quiet Storm 52 (5-0) W5

Quiet Storm remains undefeated, although they were tested a bit by a quickly-improving Pinoy Thunder squad. A low-scoring first half resulted in a slim 19-13 halftime lead before Quiet was able to take some control during the final twenty minutes. Mikey Sinchongco and Marvin Todd scored 13 points apiece, and Steve Bollman cleaned up on the boards (10 pts, 21 reb, 2 blk) for Quiet. Pinoy Thunder’s Paul Abby had a hot hand early but cooled down a little in the crucial second half, finishing with a team-high 13 pts. JV

Hoop Dreams 73 (2-3) W1

Hoop Dreams are still finding their way but have been able to put things together is stretches. They looked good this week and thus kept the Rebels winless this season. Hoop Dreams boasted three double-digit scorers led by Patrik Mejia’s team-high 22 pts (5 threes) and Jojo Arca’s 17. Rebels were led by Earle Smaltz, who finished with 22 pts, 14 reb, and Joe Marlowe, who chipped in 17. JV
